Hello, My Sexy Saturday hoppers :)

We're focusing on 'One Sexy Night' this week. This is from Breathe Each Other In, the final novel in the All They Ever Needed trilogy.

Once again Logan and Christian have gone away for the weekend to Leavenworth. As both of these men keep saying, Good things happen in Leavenworth. Really good things.

Unable not to, Logan stood and watched, barely containing his desire to attack the man who was currently on his knees drying off Logan’s legs. He could understand that desire as it was one he held for the man in his life; wanting to take care of him and make him happy. “I love you.”

Christian looked up and gave him a look so warm – so filled with love – that Logan’s knees almost gave out. “I love you, too, Logan.” He stood up and tossed the towel to the side and in a movement that forever after made Logan grin like an idiot when he thought of it, Christian swiped one arm under Logan’s knees, and with the other arm around his shoulders, lifted him up, and carried him to bed.

“You’ve been working out,” Logan said appreciatively, feeling the strong muscles holding him.

“I have to keep up with you,” Christian teased lightly, laying him on the bed. Releasing him for a moment, he went to the fridge where they had stashed the small bottle of champagne that had come with the food box. “We need to celebrate.” Without any glasses, he went into the bathroom and grabbed a couple of the cups the lodge provided and brought them back.

Sitting up in bed, Logan held his hand out. Christian handed him the cups and then with movements that said he had done this more than once, he popped the top of the bottle without spilling any and poured each of them a glass. He put the empty bottle to the side and sat next to Logan who handed him one of the cups and wrapped his arm around him. “To us,” Logan said simply, raising his cup.

Christian touched his cup to Logan’s, even as he leaned in and kissed him softly. “To us.”

There was something purely peaceful about being held in the arms of the man you loved, while sipping champagne and lying in bed. Logan was glad they had three days of this. He might not want to ever move again. When Christian put both of their cups on the side table and looked at him, there was no need for words and he leaned in and kissed him.

Being that today is Valentine's Day, we're sharing some loving on My Sexy Saturday. 

I'm sharing from Took My Breath Away, the second part of the All They Ever Needed trilogy. I"ve got 7 paragraphs from their first day back in Leavenworth.

They filled up on candy apples, fudge, and cookies, as well as bratwurst and beer before checking into their hotel. As they walked into the Bavarian Lodge, Logan beamed. “I’ve never stayed here, but I know Mom and Dad have come here before on their anniversary.”

Christian checked them in and they were shown to the Turret Suite. A huge king-sized bed faced a fireplace, and through a little alcove, there was a large Jacuzzi tub for two across from a bench. “Who’s going to watch us?” Logan asked in amusement, making Christian laugh. They walked over to the three windows that looked off the Jacuzzi room and smiled at their view of the little village down below. Turning around, Logan wrapped his arms around Christian and pulled him close. “Thank you.”

Christian did not know who moved first, but their lips touched and it seemed like such a simple thing to undress, discarding his clothes on to the bench even as Logan did the same. As they stood next to one another, everything that had stopped Christian in the past seemed unimportant now and he knew exactly what he wanted to do. “Come with me,” he said softly, grabbing Logan’s hand and leading him back into the main room and to the bed. “Lie on your stomach.”

Logan crawled into the bed and lay down, resting his chin on his arms as Christian went to his overnight bag, glad Jane had made a comment a few days ago about it always being smart to carry massage oil, as you never knew when it would come in handy. He pulled out the new bottle and opened the cap, breathing in the rich musk that escaped. Placing the bottle on the side table, Christian climbed onto the bed and straddled Logan’s legs.

Pouring some oil into one palm, he rubbed his hands together to warm it up and started on Logan’s shoulders. Instantly Logan moaned, pulling his arms down and relaxing. “I knew I loved you,” he murmured as Christian’s warm hands pushed on his tight shoulder muscles.

Smiling, Christian worked on him, from his shoulders all the way down his back. He took a long time on Logan’s ass, realizing that was an area of his boyfriend he had never truly concentrated on before. Something he had been remiss at, and would never be so again. Logan was so incredibly built, his backend was a bit of a surprise. Christian understood now the concept of a bubble butt. Logan definitely had one. And even more, it turned him on. His fingers dug into the flesh, and the moans and gasps that came from the man under him just encouraged him to  keep going. Leaving those beautiful globes behind to move on to Logan’s legs was a difficult thing to do, but Christian did. After all, once he got down to Logan’s feet, he had his whole front to do.

A great thing he discovered about giving such a massage to his partner was that he found out areas he had not realized were so incredibly sensitive to his boyfriend. He never would have guessed that the backs of Logan’s knees were an erogenous zone, but they were. By the time Christian reached his feet, Logan had to lift up his hips to take some of the pressure off his now-erect cock. Ignoring his own prominent erection, as he wanted this to be all about Logan at the moment, Christian finished his back. “Turn over, Gorgeous,” he murmured.

Took My Breath Away

Sometimes taking control is what you need to do and sometimes the best thing you can do is give that control up.

In the summer between Logan's junior and senior years of college, these two will find out more about each other and themselves than they imagined.

While unhappy to be missing four weeks of Christian's company, Logan is thrilled to spend a month with his father's relatives in New York.  A naturally gregarious individual, he is used to winning people over and getting things right. Unfortunately, the Mannettes are not what he expects and for the first time in his life, he finds himself seriously doubting who he is.

Christian has regained some of his old self-esteem and is taking on new challenges. Besides growing in the relationship he has with Logan, he takes the time his boyfriend is away to learn more about domestic discipline. He learns a little online but it is actually Gregory, Logan's father, where he gains most of his information. Including the fact that his natural strength puts him in a leadership position he isn't expecting.

When Logan returns to a strong, self-assured Christian, it is with complete relief. As discussions turn to domestic discipline and they realize their true roles within their current and future relationship, both of them are able to let their inhibitions go and together their connection grows surprising Logan to an epiphany.

I adore the love my characters exhibit, whether it is with each other or their families. In this little snippet from Breathe Each Other In, Logan is expecting to surprise his boyfriend...only to be surprised in return.

With the high school he was doing his student teaching at being so close to his apartment, he rarely drove to and from so he jogged home, his mind going over the things he had packed the night before to make sure he had everything he needed. Reaching his building, he hit the stairs at a run. Excitement bloomed in his stomach. In just a few hours he would see Christian, they would have all night to be with just each other, and then tomorrow his boyfriend would get a birthday party to remember. Whistling, he reached the top step, already turning toward his apartment when he was jolted out of his thoughts by the man standing at his door.

“What’re you doing here?”

A low chuckle reached his ears even as two strong arms pulled him in for a hug. “Surprise, gorgeous.”

“Fuck,” Logan whispered, hugging him back tightly. “Sorry about that. I was just… my mind was on other things and you surprised me. Let’s go inside.” They opened the door and as soon as the door was shut, Christian pulled him close again, kissing him until thinking was almost an impossibility. What that man could do with his tongue should be illegal.

“Now, that’s a better greeting,” Christian teased. “Sorry to surprise you. I know you said you had some studying to do this weekend but I wanted to see you. I figured with me coming up here you could still study.”

Snorting, Logan shook his head. “Study? Unless it’s your body, baby, nuh-uh.” As he leaned in and inhaled, reveling in Christian’s wonderful scent, he remembered. “Ah, fuck!”

“What?”

“Shit,” Logan said, laughing as he stepped backward. “There’s going to be a house full of people tomorrow waiting to surprise you for your birthday. If you aren’t there, they’ll be the ones surprised.”

Grinning, Christian shook his head. “Actually, the surprise is on you.”

“Huh?” Shaking his head, Logan sat down in his one armchair and pulled Christian onto his lap. Much better.

“I told our mothers after you surprised me last time that I would surprise you next. It was Kimberly who suggested my birthday.”

“Mom suggested—” Logan shook his head as realization dawned. “Devious. That woman is sneaky! I’ve been trading texts with her all week long to make sure things were in order.”

Chuckling, Christian stood up and then straddled Logan’s legs. Ooh, even better. “Well, now, does that mean you don’t have to study all weekend?” he asked, emphasizing the drawl that made Logan go weak in the knees.

“Nope. I planned to stay all weekend if I could, so I finished my assignments that are due last night.”

“Good to know,” Christian murmured, unbuttoning Logan’s shirt. “How much longer till you come home for good, love?”

*waves* Okay, so I've just heard about My Sexy Saturday bloghop. Obviously I've had my head in the sand since it has been going for 78 weeks. But I'm thrilled to be joining up :)

This week's excerpts are about first dates/first love. I wanted to share with you 7 paragraphs from from Logan & Christian's first book As Natural As Breathing. Christian has just revealed that he was almost killed in the line of duty because he defended a gay man.

“Since then, I have been in a hospital in Germany, being patched up, poked, and pained in every way possible. Therapy consisted not so much of getting over what happened as getting over being gay. They were set on curing me of it,” Christian said, a touch of bitterness in his voice. Taking another breath, he shot an apologetic look at the gorgeous man sitting next to him. “So, see, I’m kind of fucked up. I have no idea where I sit on the gay fence. Am I gay? Or am I just attracted to you? ‘Cause damn, that is why I really came tonight, to see if I was actually interested in the man behind the Santa mask, and there is no doubt in my mind I am. So is this a fluke? And if so, I don’t want to lead you along, and yet I don’t think I’m ready to tell anyone, especially my family, that I might be—”

Logan leaned forward and pressed his lips to Christian, placing one of his hands on his cheek, suitably quieting him. As his lips pulled away, Christian opened his mouth to speak again. “Shh,” Logan said quietly, rubbing his thumb across Christian’s cheek. “I understand some of the fear you are going through, though not all of it. I never feared for my life and I always knew I liked men. But as to what you are saying, Christian, this doesn’t have to be a big thing, at least not at first. We can go to Tri-Cities to the movies together. Hell, I like just sitting and talking to you. You laugh at my jokes.” He winked. “You have no idea how rare that is.”

Sighing in relief, Christian truly looked at the man just three inches away from him, the man he hoped would just look normal outside the Santa suit. “You are even better-looking as Logan,” he found himself saying.

Logan flashed him a full smile, briefly stunning Christian. “Why thank you. I spent most of my life as an ugly duckling.”

Christian raised an eyebrow. “I cannot believe you were ever ugly,” he snorted, doubtfully.

Holding up a hand again, Logan dashed off the couch and up the stairs. What was with him and rushing to and fro? A little rattled and far too excited for what was going on, Christian took a moment to breathe. From the moment Logan spoke and he looked up into those beautiful eyes, he was lost. Logan as Logan was…there were no words. He was gorgeous and cute and Christian wanted to just pull him close and cuddle. Okay, so that was a weird thought. And yet was it? His hard-on told him quite clearly how his body reacted to Santa’s alter ego.

And the odd thing was, he knew he would also be happy just sitting and joking around with him. This whole gay thing could get confusing. It felt like a friend with benefits scenario and he couldn’t help but wonder if there was more.

So many things going on

I have several things going on and thought I'd bring you up to date. Besides my weekly WIP that I post every Friday, I also have a few other books I'm writing. Unless there is a release date scheduled, all titles are subject to change.

Ready to Tell - this is a Corbin's Bend spanking romance featuring two characters you haven't met yet: Jack Carmichael, Brent's elder brother, and Josh Martin, Family Nurse Practitioner. I am really enjoying these two characters so far.
Words so far: 11,845. Expected: 40,000.
Release Date: August 5. 2015

Untitled VC - this is a super secret paranormal story I'm writing. It was put out as a special submission call and it created such a huge plot bunny for me that in 6 days, I finished the first draft at 42,829. (requested word count? 30,000) Now, to set it aside so I can go back with a clear head :)

Semper Fi - I'm working on the full-length Jonathon/Benjamin story for Corbin's Bend, but it is so complex, it's going slower than I expected. Currently 8137. Expected: 45,000

Two novels I am writing that use part of the world I created in Logan & Christian's All They Ever Needed trilogy, but with different lead characters.

It's another WipItUp Wednesday.

Hello! I'm giving you the first three paragraphs from a m/m story I am writing that is an off-shoot of my All They Ever Needed series. At the end of this year, I'm splitting my name into two- all my m/f stuff will be under Thianna D. But all my M/M stuff will go under Thianna Durston. (This post will also be mirrored over at blog.thiannad.com.

This book is tentatively titled Brick by Brick.

A soft breeze blew over the blades of grass, lightly playing with Finnean’s hair where it lay a little too long along his shoulder blades. He didn’t even notice as he sat on the grass, playing with a piece of it. “It’s Tuesday,” he said quietly, staring straight ahead at nothing. “Remember Tuesdays? You had econ at seven in the morning – why you ever elected to take a morning class is beyond me. And that blasted alarm of yours that went off at six-thirty, then six-thirty-five, six-forty, until I got up and pushed your ass out of bed.” His voice broke and his lips quivered even as his eyes blurred with tears. “I’d give anything to have those mornings back, love.”

Sniffling, he dropped the blade of grass and dug the heels of his palms into his eyes. “I bloody miss you,” he whispered. “It’s been ten years to the day since you died and I still miss you. Every day, every moment, every time something happens, I think: I need to tell Jaimie. Only…you’re not around to tell.” Unable to hold back, he sobbed softly, staring with unseeing eyes at the gravestone in front of him. “Do you even know I never got to say goodbye? I tried. I tried so bloody hard, Jaimie. The hospital wouldn’t allow me in because we weren’t legally married, then your parents wouldn’t even allow me to your funeral.” His voice broke on the last word and once again he sobbed.

It had been years since he had been in Yakima. He left town the day after Jaimie’s funeral and hadn’t been back. He was only back now because of his own family drama. “I’m so sorry I haven’t been by to see you before. I had to go, get away, or I think I might have died.” Taking a deep breath to try and steady himself, he continued, forcing a lighter tone into his voice. “I went on to med school, just like you encouraged me to. Even became a surgeon. Maybe if I’d had these credentials and this kind of knowledge back then I could have saved you.” Gripping his hands, he dug blunt fingernails into his palms to stop the idiocy. Even if he had been a doctor back then, he would not have been objective enough to treat the man he loved. Not even taking into account the fact everyone would have kept him away from the man who held his heart. Well, not today, he supposed. Today he and Jaimie could have been married. And nothing would have stopped him from being at his side.
